ConceptDraw Pro Network Diagram Software

ConceptDraw Pro is a Network Diagram Software package that comes with over 2,000 pre-loaded Vector shapes, including Racks, WiFi, Computers, Servers and Logical/Physical interconnects for easily drawing out your LAN/WAN Topology.

This is software notably better than other network mapping software due to its graphical representations of network and computer components, utilizing 3D Vector art to correctly detail all components of a network, rack or LAN/WAN.

Like Microsoft Visio, this program isn't tied down to only producing Computer and Network diagrams, but business Presentations, Graphs, Diagrams and much more.

Its feature set goes much deeper than the screenshots and it has the same graphical layout as a Microsoft Office 2007 product, with the Ribbon display menu for ease of use.

Pros:

One of the major features that stood out to me was the vast selection of detailed vector art of network, computer, server, switch, router and many other components you would find in your businesses network.

This software package has tons of great features when it comes to clip art and drawings of network devices along with a huge choice of additional peripherals.

Clip art for Computer and Networks include Active Directory Diagrams, Azure Architecture, AWS Architecture Diagrams, Computer Network Diagrams, Cisco components, Interactive Voice Response diagrams, Network Floor Layouts, Server/Network Rack diagrams, Telecommunication/VOIP components and Wireless Networks.

Here's an Example of what type of Components and the level of Detail you will get when drawing out your infrastructure.

This program does have the ability to export Diagrams and drawings in several file formats, including PDF, Powerpoint, Flash and HTML with built in hyperlinks.

Another benefit we saw with this software was its integration with Basic scripting language which would allow for integrating with 3D data sources.

Cons:

This program did Not present the ability to Automatically Scan your network for devices and compile them into a diagram for, unlike other software packages we've reviewed.

Along those same lines, automatically updating your Network diagram isn't going to be an option either, since that requires a scan for changes on your network.
